Fort Lauderdale Water Sports

Experience the best Fort Lauderdale water sports on Florida's sun-kissed beaches, just a few steps away from our Fort Lauderdale resort.
Snorkeling

The water temperature in the Fort Lauderdale area is warm all year-round, making it an ideal location for snorkeling.  Skim the clear waters and observe
many varieties of beautiful tropical fish.

Scuba Diving

Immerse yourself in the turquoise waters of Fort Lauderdale, boasting some of the best scuba diving in North America.  Reef and wreck diving are available just a mile off shore.  The area is not only home to 23 miles of golden sand beaches but also to an array of dive sites and marine life. From Deerfield Beach in the north to Hallandale Beach in the south, a unique natural three-tiered reef system begins in 20 feet of water just 100 yards from shore at its closest point. And more than 75 artificial reefs have been placed on the ocean's floor over the past 20 years as magnets for fish and reef life. Beginning in depths of 30 feet, there are more than 100 dive sites with permanent mooring buoys to reduce anchor damage.

Sport Fishing

Many local companies provide professional guided fishing charters where you can experience the excitement of catching the fish of a lifetime.  Anglers of all experience levels can fish for Sailfish, Swordfish, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Snapper, Grouper, Barracuda, and many more.

Jet Skiing & Boating

Get out on the water and feel the wind on your face.  Unwind in the sun and waves.  Boat and jet ski rentals are available seven days a week at several locations along Fort Lauderdale beaches.
